We invite you to participate in the upcoming CHIP workshop, a collaborative effort by Aarhus University (AU), Dansk Industri, the Ministry of Science and Education, and Force Technology. This workshop will spotlight the Danish chip industry and underscore its significance for numerous Danish companies.

The workshop aims to map out the Danish chip ecosystem through presentations and interactive dialogue, encouraging collaboration between academia and industry, and pinpointing the competencies and milestones essential for new chip development and industry uptake and expansion. Discussions will also encompass funding for research and development (R&D) and other potential opportunities stemming from the EU Chips Act, and strategies to translate these discussions into actionable initiatives for a lasting impact.

Key Take-Aways:

  • A better understanding of the Danish chip landscape: Explore the Danish microchip ecosystem through inspirational presentations from academia, industry, startups and public sector stakeholders. Addressing Challenges and Opportunities: Contribute to defining the complete ecosystem and necessary competencies for sustainable growth.
  • EU Chips Act and Denmark's Strategic Positioning: Delve into the objectives and ramifications of the "European Chips Act," focusing on elevating Europe's chip market share to 20% by 2030. Grasp the urgency for Denmark to proactively contribute and strategically position itself within the evolving chip ecosystem.
  • National Chip Competence Center: Engage in comprehensive discussions concerning the framework of the future National Chip Competence Center, emphasizing Denmark's pivotal role in advancing the goals of the EU chip initiative.
  • Collaborative Research and Innovation: Gain insights from academic experts and industry representatives on cutting-edge research, collaborative projects, and funding opportunities that can propel Denmark's chip industry forward.
